Founder & Promoter

Heritage School of Excellence

Shaswath Korishetter has spent more than two decades inside the K-12 education sector, building institutions, mentoring communities, and shaping learning environments with unusual care.

His work is grounded in a simple belief: the quality of a school is inseparable from the quality of the spaces in which children learn.

What defines his leadership is not noise but consistency. He approaches every campus, classroom, and conversation with a sense of responsibility to students, educators, and the long-term culture of the institution itself.

Legacy

Son of Dr. Ravindra Korishetter, recipient of the Karnataka Rajyotsava Award.

Founder Letter

From Origin to Promise

A clear path of thought, research, commitment, and long-term partnership for better learning spaces.

01

The Origin

Theory Space began not with a product, but a question: Why do the spaces where children learn receive the least design intelligence?

  • Visited 100+ schools across India to observe real learning behaviour
  • Saw how rigid environments actively worked against good pedagogy
  • Founded Theory Space to bring design rigour into education
02

The Philosophy

We operate at the intersection of spatial design, cognitive science, and pedagogy — always designing backward from learning outcomes.

  • Not "What fits this room?" — but "What must students be able to do here?"
  • Every material, angle, and finish serves a cognitive purpose
  • Procurement becomes transformation; budget lines become learning trajectories
03

The Commitment

Over two decades, 200+ institutions. Each environment uniquely calibrated to its curriculum, culture, and community.

  • Partnered with progressive schools, IB boards & higher-ed campuses
  • Seven Spaces framework — evidence-based, not trend-based
  • Each space type mapped to a precise developmental purpose
04

The Promise

You gain more than a furniture supplier — a long-term design ally that stays present long after installation.

  • Full audit of existing spaces before any recommendation
  • Every solution aligned to your pedagogical goals
  • Impact measured in classrooms transformed, not units shipped

With purpose and conviction,

Our Journey

What Drives Us Forward

The principles that shape every space we create

01

Pedagogy First

Every decision starts with learning. We design backwards from curriculum intent, not forward from furniture catalogs.

02

Deep Research

Two decades studying how spaces influence learning. Our framework is evidence-based, not trend-based.

03

Educator-Centered

Teachers shaped Theory Space. Their insights guide every specification, every finish, every spatial transition.

04

Custom Solutions

No template fits every school. We listen deeply to each institution's unique needs and design specifically for them.

05

Long-Term Impact

We measure success in changed learning outcomes, not quarterly returns. Our relationships with schools span decades.

Our Story

Building Rooms Worth Learning In

From classrooms to corporate learning spaces, discover the philosophies that guide Theory Space.

Founded 2004 — From a single consultation
Essence Backward design from learning outcomes

Learning spaces should never start with furniture or architecture. They begin with a single question: What should students be able to do? From that answer flows everything—the spatial choreography, the material palette, the light quality, the acoustic treatment. Theory Space reversed the entire conversation in educational design.

Scope Discovery → Deploy → Refine
Duration Years, not projects

We don't hand off and disappear. An installation is a beginning. We work with schools for years after installation, continuously refining based on how educators and students actually use the spaces. Long-term partnership beats short-term profit.

Research Base 20+ years of observation
Method Audit → Design → Measure

We don't chase trends. Every recommendation is rooted in research—behavioral psychology, educational outcomes data, neuroscience of learning environments. Our Seven Spaces framework isn't an opinion; it's evidence mapped into typology.
